Comprehensive Wound Care & Specialist Coordination in Saginaw, Michigan

RevitalizeMe is an independent, physician-led outpatient wound care and hyperbaric medicine center. We treat complex and non-healing wounds directly. When your wound needs care outside our clinic, we arrange the right next step and keep managing your wound care plan the whole way through.

You can come to us for an evaluation or a second opinion without a referral, even if you are being treated somewhere else.

How Your Care Works, Step by Step

One team stays responsible for your wound from the first visit forward. Here is what that looks like.

  1. Wound evaluation
  2. Identify barriers to healing
  3. Arrange appropriate testing
  4. Coordinate specialists when needed
  5. Continue wound treatment
  6. Review outside results
  7. Adjust the plan

Your wound care does not pause while you see a specialist. We keep treating the wound, review what the specialist finds, and change the plan when the findings call for it.

Why Wounds Stop Healing

A wound that has stalled usually has a reason. Finding that reason is the first job of a wound evaluation.

  • Poor arterial circulation

Narrowed arteries limit the blood and oxygen a wound needs to close.

  • Venous disease

Weak leg veins let fluid pool, which breaks down skin and keeps ulcers open.

  • Infection

Bacteria in the wound bed can stop healing even when the wound looks stable.

  • Pressure

Constant pressure on one spot damages tissue faster than it can repair.

  • Uncontrolled diabetes

High blood sugar slows the body's repair process and raises infection risk.

  • Swelling

Fluid buildup around a wound squeezes small vessels and starves the tissue.

  • Nutrition

Healing requires protein, vitamins, and calories. A gap here shows up in the wound.

  • Underlying bone infection

A wound over infected bone will not close until the bone infection is addressed.

  • Other medical barriers

Medications, immune conditions, and other health factors can all slow healing.

Wound Still Open After Weeks or Months? Get a Second Opinion.

If your wound has stalled despite regular care, you have the right to a fresh evaluation. A second opinion here is not about changing your dressing. It is about finding out why the wound stopped healing, whether that is circulation, infection, pressure, blood sugar, or something else that has not been addressed.

No referral is required, and you can come to us even if you are being treated at another wound center. Same-week appointments are available.
